When the Lord showed me the image of a cute toy airplane, what stood out was the unexpected power of the engine that propelled it. It was a picture of taking flight but in a much different way than we might expect...heaven-bound as a child might see it. We aren’t required to have it all together as a fancy, polished, well-oiled machine. We simply need to take flight with the trust, innocence and faith of a child. Instead of trying to tackle all of life's challenges on our own, take it to the Lord and trust that He holds all things in His hands. It’s the greatest fuel to our engine that we could ever hope or ask for. And it’s what will ultimately propel us further and higher than we, in our bogged-down adult minds could ever get on our own. Free of the world’s expectations and soaring into what God has for us...trusting, living in faith and flying high in our little toy airplane.
“At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 18:1-4
