Artist Interpretation -
One morning as I was praying, I saw a handful of arrows headed directly towards me. It was a startling image, but even more startling was that as the arrows neared, I watched the Lord put marshmallows on each of their tips! With every step we take toward the Lord, the enemy’s arrows come flying at us. The really cool thing is that the Lord has a way of dealing with those arrows, in a way unique to each of us - if only we will look for it. That morning, I knew in my heart, the marshmallows were there to soften the blows and the Lord confirmed it when I heard the whisper - Joy in the Fire. Joy for me, because I love s’mores. The Lord put marshmallows on the arrows to turn my pain and my trial into something I could find joy in. He’s giving us marshmallows so we can find joy in the fire. Time to put those arrows to use, roast some marshmallows and make some s’mores!
