Artist Interpretation -
Diamonds have been treasured since ancient times, their unique physical properties making them a prized gem above all others. Naturally formed in the earth’s mantle under conditions of extreme temperature and pressure, a diamond is extremely rigid, the name stemming from a greek word meaning “unbreakable.” They have a characteristic known as “fire” resulting from widely dispersed fragments of light. When I saw the Lord place a diamond necklace in the shape of a heart around my neck, I was immediately drawn to it’s beauty and through prayer began to understand what His message was. Faithfully pursuing us always, the Lord uses the things in life that feel like they’ll crush us, to light the fire that burns bright within. Times of pressure and intense heat become times of teaching from the Lord, ultimately forming us into the diamond that sits in the necklace. A reminder of His steadfast love and faithfulness that brings us through the hardest times. Hold it close to your heart so you won’t forget. 

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
