Artist Interpretation -
Often a staple at playgrounds or parks, a teeter-totter is made up of a long narrow board that has a center pivot point. With someone on each end, they take turns pushing off the ground, transferring weight to the other side. As one end goes up, the other end goes down. When the Lord showed me this image of a teeter-totter and whispered “a pivotal time”, it was accompanied with a second whisper spoken as a question, “are you going to go high or low?” In the circumstances of life that we encounter, we have a choice to either rise above the “weight” - out of the chaos, out of the anger, sadness or disappointment, or we can allow the weight to push us to the ground in defeat. The enemy attempts to control us by weighing us down, leading us to believe we can’t get back up. But it’s all about perspective. If we shift to a Heavenly perspective, the reality of the situation is that the pressure of the weight from one side can actually catapult us to a higher position, if we allow it. When we try to take control, we add to the weight that pulls us lower, sending the enemy higher. Give your control to the Lord, allow Him to release the weight and seat you in a higher position. It truly is a pivotal time - the world is waiting and watching our actions and reactions. What side are we going to sit on?
