nineteenD was something the Lord first stirred in me, when He gave me a dream one night years ago. In the dream, I was going to an evening worship service, that was actually being put on by the government. The President was the main speaker, so tickets were required to enter the event. The ticket I was given was 19D. They were also offering food and shopping to people, so a few of us decided to go shopping, while the others sat down.  I went down some stairs to an underground clothing place where I began trying on a jacket. Something that stood out to me while trying the  jacket on, was how amazing  and warm the pockets were. 

 

I’ve shared before, stories from a season of wilderness wanderings in my life. This is a story not so much of that season, but of what God did in it and what came out of it. When we think of the wilderness, I think it’s fair to say

“Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” - 1 Corinthians 14:1

In the army, the mission of 19D Calvary Scout is to “act as the eyes and ears on the field, gathering information about enemy positions, vehicles, weapons, and activity. You’ll determine whether to call for reinforcements and when to order a retreat. With the information you’ll gather, commanders can make informed decisions about how to move troops and where and when to attack.”

Warriors interceding for all the enemy stole. The Calvary committed to praying for the restoration of our nation…families, children, churches that were hit in the battle

Our strength comes from knowing Jesus and being able to recognize His voice. My sheep… The scattering comes when the sheep can’t recognize the voice to follow the Shepherd. 

 

Years ago the Lord would woke me in the middle of the night by whispering my name three times. When He had my attention, He showed me a room full of beautiful turquoise butterflies. Called by our name. It wasn’t just one, but many. Working together in our identity in Christ to form an army that brings revival. 

 

Our strength comes in unity. A Strength that when functioning with singleness of purpose, the becomes an impenetrable army. 

 

United we stand, divided we fall. So the enemy’s strategy is to create distractions, so we cant sit with the Lord to hear His voice. And when God calls, we find ourselves confused, unsure of the voice we’re hearing. So the scattering begins. People begin to believe voices that come from the world and not of the Word. 

 

I find it so fascinating that there’s only one letter difference between the those two…world, Word. Without the deep relationship with Jesus, it’s easy to see how so many are confused by what they’re allowing to speak into their lives. The details matter. Discernment is key. 

 

The Lord gave a name to that army of butterflies…nineteenD. God is raising up His army…not in the traditional sense. Because the strength in the army comes from knowing God. Knowing who you are in Christ. And out of that, warring as the eyes and ears on the battlefield. 

 

We become an army when we walk in our true identity. 

 

"The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the LORD has made them both.” - Proverbs 20:12
